16	I'd hear them muttering things like "Why is she in our team?" and "useless"	I think that Emma is sad and felt that they didn’t want her in there team.
17	“He’d told me” bees are sensitive and intelligent. he said	I think Grace is day dreaming about he's granddad and he's feeling bored.
18	“Keep calm” whispered granddad.	It’s his spirit helping her. She is trying to keep calm. She is trying to focus. She is imagining her Grandfather is next to her. She might have used to play baseball with her grandfather.
18	"Then I held my hand up to my face." "They were still sticky from breakfast, and they smelt of Granddad's honey.	I think grace is brave and suddenly the white rounded spinning ball came to her and she caught it.  because he's granddad's honey bring a her good luck.
18	“A bee stung me" Emma sobbed.	Emma feel sore because she landed on a bee

This week we have been looking at a story that is called sports day. We have to find examples of where the author doesn’t tell us what the characters are feeling but I read between the lines and thought about what the characters were feeling. This is a evidence of reading between the lines.
