Sculpture Art!

As you remember we went to Spencer Park and I wrote a story for it. So we collected some sea treasures like shells, driftwood, sticks, feathers and more. So this is my Sculpture I called it "The Bird In The Shells" I called it the bird in the shells because I like birds. So I made a bird and stick it to some shells and I also have two sticks so I merged them two and I put the bird on there. Then I had an idea to make it look better so I got some strings and I tied it into the sticks and I put the shells there. But don't forget to comment on my Spencer Park Trip! But anyways I hope you liked it bye!!

Maths DLO 2

This is my last week's DLO about maths my W.A.L.T was to Solve subtraction problem by adding I think this strategy was very good and I think that you will find this very easy to do. So I hope you enjoyed and learned something from this DLO and have a great day  bye!!

Duathlon!

Yesterday we had a Duathlon it's was like a race and you can bring bikes and scooters. I din't bring any our race was to start at the flags and we have to run all the way to the high school's gate. Then the people that has bikes or scooters have to get their wheels but I din't have one so I have to run then we have to go to the court and we have to go in a zig zag. Then we have to go back at the court and do it again because we need to do it 2x after I finished all of that I need to go to our field and I have to run there 2x also so I finished and I came 5th and I was very exhausted. But I hope you had a great time bye!!

The Moon

This is my blog post about the Man in the Moon so here's some facts about it  this is kind of hard to read but it was really hard to post it on my blog because I have to take screenshots of it but you can click the link to read it properly. Spencer Park Trip!

Spencer Park Trip!

Last Friday Ako Ngatahi and the other classes from Hornby Primary School went to Spencer Park to have a trip. This trip we saw some amazing birds and a lot of cobwebs and more.

First had to have a group there were 4 groups, group one, group 2, group 3 and group 4 I got into group 4 then we split out to our groups.

Next we had to go to the bus I sat with Axle and Khush. Then Axle was making jokes and Khush was trying to sleep in the bus.

Then Axle and I made a little prank on Khush, he figured that we should draw on Khush's cheek so he gaved me a green pen and then made me put a dot on Khush’s cheek. But I gave it back to Axle because I didn't want to do it so Axle put a dot on Khush's cheek and then he got a bit angry at us and we were all laughing.

We were suddenly here at Spencer Park! So we had to leave the bus and line up beside the tree and then the teachers did a headcount so they know if we're all lining up. After the headcount we now went to the playground for about 3 minutes.

After 3 minutes we went to the beach and collect some sea treasures like shells, driftwood, feathers and more so our task was to get 1 driftwood and at least 10 shells.

Next we went for a lagoon walk and the path was a little bit bumpy. While we were walking we saw some birds and also some spider webs and there were a lot of them then we heard a Tui up in the tree and he I think he was trying to find food. But unfortunately he didn't show itself and then we were at a bird hideout so we can hide from birds. Then the teachers taught us some facts about birds and I learned something that this birds do big steps so if they don’t they could be stuck at the mud and that’s why they do big steps.

Then it was the time to go out and then the teacher said that “Let’s have a picture” so I sat down at the stairs and then the teachers took pictures of us. Then it was time to go back then we had our lunch there.

After that we had a little time to play and Jullien and I were looking around and we saw some people playing basketball so Aisa, Mikayla, Nature, Sharnania, Jullien and I played with them. They were the South Hornby School, but we won by three pointers.

Lastly it was time to go back so we lined up and they did a headcount then we went back to the bus this time I was sitting with Joshua.

Maths DLO

Yesterday I was making a DLO about use value partitioning to subtract so this is my DLO teaching you how to use place value partitioning to subtract. By the way partitioning means breaking down numbers. So I hope you learn how to use value partitioning to subtract and I hope you like it Bye!!

Wetapunga Facts and Information

Three weeks our weta group had been learning about weta's and we had to make a thinklink about it but we had to find some information's first. By the way if you don't know what is a weta it is a creature that has been living with the dinosaurs they were also called the Wetapunga. In Ako Ngatahi we had to write a narrative about a video. It was about a boy opening a present that was a dog with three legs. Here is the video of the present. I hope you enjoy my story.

The Present

My Coolest Present

One very sunny day, I was eating my breakfast and it was our holiday so I can play my Xbox 360.When I finished eating my breakfast I hurried to the bathroom and brush my teeth. After, I ran to the living room and played with Xbox.

Suddenly, mum arrived and she was holding a box, she said “Hey sweetie!” and then she opened the curtains, and the sun interrupted my game, so very annoyed. Then she put a box at the table and said “Why don't you go outside after you opened the present that I got for you?” All of a sudden she had a phone call.

I paused the game “Did she say my present? I thought. So I wondered what could be inside it? I was very excited could it be a another Xbox 360 or more Xbox games or could be something else?

I opened the box then a dog at bark at me. I said out loud “Cool!” But when I pick him up, I saw that he has half a leg and I got angry so I threw him at the floor and push the box off the table. I got disappointed to mum, but I still continued playing my Xbox and then he ran to me barked happily, but I said “get lost!”.

Next I felt something at my feet, I looked at it and I saw a red ball. He was staring at me like he want to play a game. I struck the ball to the box that I pushed back then, he went for it he followed that ball then tripped and got stuck to the box. Then he tried to go out the box but he banged himself the drawers. I was thinking if I should help him out, but before that he got himself out of the box. After he got out he looked for the ball it was right beside him. Then he tried to give me the ball back, but he tripped and tripped again. I giggled, I thought he’s really fun and playful so I grabbed the the ball and went outside and played with him and before that I turned off my Xbox and then I told my mum, “Mum we’re going outside!” I was really happy to have a puppy that is disabled like me.

My Learning Goals 2017!!!

For the last few weeks we we're doing some test so that we know what we will need to learn about. So after we finished our test we had to make a slideshow about our Learning Goals for 2017 and this is what I need to learn and practice more about. So I hope you like it anyway byeeee!! 😎

Cybersmart DLO

Yesterday we went to High School's auditorium to listen to John Parsons. Because he is an expert at Cybersmart, he taught us to be safe online. This DLO shows what you can do to be safe online and now I feel more confident about being Cybersmart. I hope this DLO can help you to be safe and I hope you like it!!
