Afterwards, we had to decorate our three cupcakes and they had to be all similar. But not the same as your group members. I found it satisfying putting the icing on the cupcakes, but it was also a little difficult to make it smooth. When finished I had the idea of putting the letter v on the cupcake that represents the first letter of my name, I used string-like liquorice to make out the letter and then used m&ms to make a diamond shape around it. Then we were given some chocolate sprinkles to put in our cupcakes. The finished product tasted really good, and the icing tasted like strawberry. The cupcake itself was really fluffy the liquorice made it a bit chewy. Anyways, here is the recipe that we used as well as the directions on how to make them.

Hi Vann,
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like it would have been to trick people with the flavours!! Sadly your pictures aren't showing up....do you thinkk you could fix that?
Next time you could try saving a cupcake (or even half a cupcake) for your teacher! I think she would really enjoy it! ;-)
Vann it sounds like you really enjoyed making these light fluffy cupcakes. I love your description of the icing. Unfortunately your photos have not displayed and so I can not see your finished product. I hope your photos include mise en place, steps during the making of the cupcakes as well as the icing. Next time please check the photos display.
ReplyDeleteYou have used good descriptive words in your Blog Post. An original colour and flavour combination: blue with strawberry cream. I agree this would "trick your mind."
ReplyDeleteWell done, Vann.
