This week on community impact project, we are trying to find out what seed we can plant that is best for winter. Since winter is almost here. Anyways what we have to do is to find 6 different kinds of seeds we can plant for autumn but it also has to survive in winter. Although we can use a seed twice, for example, I want to plant peas. I can plant 2 peas then find another 4 seeds to get 6 seeds.
Here are my 6 seeds.
1. Peas (x2)
2. Kale
3. Broad Beans
4. Beetroot
5. Pak Choi
I picked these seeds because they can grow in autumn and they can also survive and grow in winter as well. When it is autumn sowing is ideal for peas. Kale is also good for autumn and winter, broad beans can grow in the late autumn and also grow in winter. But they don't like to grow in summer. Beetroot also grows in autumn and winter, and even in summer. Pak choi is also a really good crop for autumn and winter. Anyways this is why I chose these crops for our school.
