In Science, whenever we do an experiment we will blog it.
The way that we blog an experiment is in the form of a scientific report.

Aim: My aim is to find out which one will dissolve faster, baking soda or salt.
Hypothesis: I think both of them will dissolve in the same rate, because their kind of the same, since you can also use the baking soda as salt.
Equipment: The equipment that is needed is; A 250 ml beaker, 100 ml measuring cylinder, salt, baking soda, a stirring rod, a science spatula and a ruler.
Method:
1. Fill up the beaker up to 100 ml of tap water.
2. When the beaker has been filled up to 100 ml of water, take your teaspoon and level it by running the ruler across the top of the teaspoon to make it even. Add the baking soda to the water.
3. Stir until all of the baking soda has dissolved .
4. Just keep repeating step 2 and 3, until no more baking soda will dissolve into the solution.
5. Record how many teaspoons of baking soda was added.
6. Repeat the method using salt.
Results:The results are that baking soda dissolved less solute but dissolved
the slowest, the salt dissolved more that the baking soda but dissolved fastest.
the slowest, the salt dissolved more that the baking soda but dissolved fastest.
Discussion:
The baking soda dissolved less solute because it was more like chalky
or powdery which also makes it dissolve slower. The salt was for fine
and not that powdery and I think that's what made it dissolve faster.
Conclusion: In conclusion the hypothesis was not correct and that salt dissolves faster than baking soda. It needs less teaspoons of baking soda to saturate the water rather than salt.
